The First United Nations Global Road Safety Week, called by the United Nations General Assembly (vide Resolution A/60/5) , was observed from 23-29 April 2007. The Week, which focuses on young road users, was an historic opportunity to raise the issue of road traffic injuries to a higher level. During the week, hundreds of initiatives-Local, National, Regional and Global took place around the world. ADIC Road Safety Alliance (RSA) had organized several programmes as part of the Global Road Safety Week Commemoration jointly with National Transportaton Planning and Research Center (NATPAC), Regional Office of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India and Kerala Police.
